The Judicial Service Commission has forwarded names of 16 individuals for appointment as Court of Appeal judges.
The commission advertised the positions on July 27, 2012 before applicants went through a competitive recruitment process.
Those recommended for appointment include sitting judges, according to a statement released by JSC secretary Gladys Shollei.
Those recommended for appointment include Justice John W. Mwera, Justice Mohamed A. Warsame, Justice G.B.M. Kariuki, lawyer Patrick O. Kiage who has acted as a Special State prosecutor, Steven Gatembu Kairu, Kathurima M'Inoti and Lady Justice Philomena M. Mwilu
